“Jensen Sutta, founder and photographer of Jensen Sutta Event Photography, was selected as Top Photographer of the Year for 2018, by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the industry.

While inclusion with the IAOTP is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. With almost two decades of professional experience as a world-traveled photographer, Jensen has certainly proven himself as an accomplished professional and expert in the field. Jensen is the “Photographer to the Stars” who has traveled the world in order to capture some of today’s most important events and persons. He specializes in corporate and event photography, documenting non-profit work, incentive trips, musicians, concert photography, politicians, and conventions. He has photographed events in Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, England, Morocco, Spain, France, Monaco, Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Nevis, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and all over the U.S. His extraordinary insight and keen eye to capture an event are simply exceptional. His impressive repertoire of celebrities he has photographed includes the Obamas, the Clintons, George W. Bush, Leonardo DiCaprio, Joe Biden, His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Clint Eastwood, Sandra Bullock, James Cameron, Oprah Winfrey, Ben Affleck, Steven Spielberg, Rob Lowe, Jay Leno, Quentin Tarantino, B.B. King, Taylor Swift, Sean Penn, Smokey Robinson, and so many more. Some notable highlights from his career include photographing at the White House, the Democratic and Republican National Conventions, Elton John’s Oscar Party, Concert T-Shirts for LeAnn Rimes, coffee table book for Elton John, the cover of Sarah Palin’s book, and non-profit work in Haiti.

Previously, Jensen was a professor at the Art Institute of Colorado where he taught photography and business courses. He taught in the Wedding Photography Certification Program and was a Board Member at the Brooks Institute of Photography. Jensen earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Philosophy from the University of Richmond, and his Master’s Degree in Photography from the Brooks Institute. The President of IAOTP, Stephanie Cirami, stated that “Choosing Jensen for this award was an easy decision for our panel to make. We got to see, firsthand his beautiful way of documenting an event from what he captured at our Awards Gala. He is a brilliant talent and a leader in the industry. He was exactly what we were looking for and we know we will be seeing more outstanding things from this man. We also hope to spend time with him at our gala this year at the Plaza Hotel in NYC.”

Throughout his illustrious career, Jensen has been recognized worldwide for his work and has received numerous awards and accolades, and has been featured in several publications. He was named Top 25 Young Professionals in the Colorado Biz Magazine. For 2019 he is being considered for a feature in T.I.P. (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine, and for the Business Innovator of the Year Award by the International Association of Top Professionals. For 2018, he was named Top Photographer of the Year by IAOTP. He was the Alumni Spotlight for the Brooks Institute of Photography, highlighted in many newspapers, and chosen to be interviewed by Inspired Impact.

Aside from Jensen’s successful career, he is also a passionate philanthropist who gives back to the community any way that he can. He is always seeking assignments to help non-profits and he is a Board Member of Believe in Haiti, and sits on the Advisory Board for the Zoology Foundation to help improve the lives of animals through educational programming.

Looking back, Jensen attributes his success to his persistence, mentors he has had along the way, and staying passionate in all of his works. Jensen says he is very grateful to love his profession and feels this is just the beginning. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys. For the future, he will continue to thrive as a photographer and will continue to capture life’s most precious moments the best way he knows how, through his lens.
