Hard to believe this was my first job in Vancouver, but certainly hope it wasn’t the last. This city (and region) is so gorgeous, the weather was magnificent and everyone was so welcoming and friendly!!
Exploring the region began in the huge urban park with both scenic ocean and mountain views, Stanley Park. I especially loved the trees:
The location the group traveled to was Grouse Mountain. A short drive from downtown, then a ride up a gondola, Grouse has wonderful views of Vancouver! As pretty as the view was, my favorite part was the refuge for grizzly bears!!
The most incredible excursion of the trip was to Butchart Gardens by float plane from downtown Vancouver! Over 55 acres and 120 years old, the gardens were lovely and very worth the visit:
