The National Historic Landmark, the Del, opened in 1888 and has had a lengthy list of accomplishments ever since. From hosting dignitaries to setting the scene of movies, commercials, and t.v. shows, it is an iconic beachfront resort outside of San Diego, California that sure makes for a wonderful place for an event!

One of my favorite stories to learn was that several Wizard of Oz books were written on site by L. Frank Baum and at the same time designed the crown chandeliers in the famous Crown Room:
