The 91st Major League Baseball All-Star Game was hosted by the Colorado Rockies and played at Coors Field on July 13, 2021, with the American League defeating the National League 5–2. There was excitement and buzz all around downtown:

After swinging by the Playball Park at the Colorado Convention Center, I arrived to Coors Field where there was a huge crowd 4 hours before game time (many hoping to catch baseballs during warmups).

I’ve been lucky enough to have been an event photographer for over 20 years now…and one thing that NEVER gets old is a flyover! I just love them!!

It was a little overcast, and even rained just before the game started, but it sure cleared up and made for an epic Colorado sunset. It reminded me of John Denver’s song Rocky Mountain High:”…I’ve seen it rainin’ fire in the sky..”:
