Three very different folks, but what a gift to get to photograph Simone Biles, Trevor Noah and Bryan Adams at the same event in Vail, Colorado.
In addition to the recognizable folks, covering winter sports and scenery around Bachelor Gulch Vail was a wonderful highlight. There’s something magical about dogsledding zooming by in a picturesque snow filled valley:

One of the greatest gymnasts in the history of American sport’s history, Simone Biles has earned a combined total of 37 Olympic and World Championship medals—the most ever by a gymnast. Known for redefining the limits of gymnastics difficulty, she has become a global icon not only for her athletic dominance but also for her advocacy for mental wellness, athlete safety, and empowerment. I really enjoyed learning that she was ‘discovered’ on a rainy day when the camp outside plans were changed to a gym where a coach noticed her raw potential.
Born in South Africa during the final years of apartheid, Trevor Noah is a comedian, writer, producer, and television host best known for his time as host of The Daily Show. His memoir, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, became a bestseller and highlighted both his humor and his insight into issues of race, identity, and resilience. Today, Noah continues to tour globally, produce content, and use his platform to spark conversations about culture, politics, and human connection. I enjoyed every second of interacting with him. Witty, kind, funny, fantastic storyteller and fascinating perspectives…I sure hope our paths cross again!
Bryan Adams is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist most known for “Summer of ’69” and “Everything I Do I Do It for You”. Over his career, he has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, earned numerous awards, and been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

Oh, when I look back now
That summer seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Yeah, I’d always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life
