One of my favorite places to visit in the world is definitely Italy. From the incredible food to the ancient architecture, stylish fashion, gorgeous landscapes…and so much more, I just love Italy!
For the job, we stayed at the Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel. It was 20-30 mins from the heart of Rome, but on a hillside looking out over the entire city and very close to the Vatican. It was my first visit to Vatican, and was really lucky that it was a private visit for the group!! Photographing the Sistine Chapel was still off-limits, but every other inch of that place sure is photogenic!
A short walk from the Rome Cavalieri Hotel, was an awesome event venue called Villa Miani. Sure made for a fantastic event!!
The most unbelievable highlight of the job was the final evening at the Baths of Caracalla. The Baths of Caracalla have got to be one of the most special incredible amazing locations I have ever had the pleasure of photographing!! Built around 212 A.D. and still so much largely intact, these were the second-largest bath complexes in Rome! And when the Romans describe a Bath complex it’s not just where one washes up, it was a leisure center with sports rooms, exercise areas, libraries, art collections, and many more offerings.
