Ever since the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, I’ve been looking forward to photographing the event again this year! My main job is photographing for the Gooding & Company auctions (where the two day auction sales tallied over 128 million!!), but sure enjoy the main concours day just as much!
Hard not to love this job when the area looks like this…
Truly one of the most spectacular sights and landscapes in the United States, if you haven’t ever visited Pebble Beach or driven the 17-mile drive, I highly recommend it!
In just two landscape images I’d say this sums up the Pebble Beach, California area as best as I could do it:
Here’s the infamous lone cypress tree, logo of Pebble Beach. At over 200 years old and overlooking the perfect scenery, it really is a site to see!
The Concours d’Elegance car show in Pebble Beach began in 1950 and continues to be one of the most prestigious car shows in the world. Between 15,000- 30,000 folks attend the show on the 18th fairway of the golf course each year.
In addition to the judged show on the 18th, there are ‘concept’ cars and displays (and test drive opportunities!) from nearly all of the major car companies:
If you are a car aficionado, clearly it’s a mecca, but the people watching is top notch as well!
Big thanks to Andy for your help and Allison for hiring me!
