It couldn’t have been a more beautiful day for Katy and Mike’s Wedding at Crooked Willow Farms, in Larkspur, Colorado. They started dating while they were in Afghanistan serving in the Army and are just two people that deserved the perfect day!!
As usual, I began with capturing one of my favorite parts of the a wedding, the details:
Katy’s colorful shoes were such a fun touch!I’ve photographed many rings over the years, but never one like Mike’s! It was engraved on the inside with the wedding date, and decorated on the outside with mountains.
Katy was gorgeous both inside and out and certainly made my job easy! You can’t beat this entrance to a ceremony… On a gorgeous horse and carriage!
Here’s a neat shot of the outdoor ceremony overlooking the foothills on a gorgeous day! I love military weddings with a saber arch! First, they walk under the arch, then the last pair lower their sabers and require a kiss to pass, followed by a pat in the bum as they walk away!
Crooked Willow Farms really is an incredible venue! Breathtaking views, red barns, pigs, camels, horses, fields… Truly spectacular! It’s tough to take a bad picture of flower girls! It turns out the horse was scared of camels! A walk down the country road was just the fix! I thought this was a fun picture of the garter toss. I love the non-attempt of the guy on the right and the all out dive by the guy who caught it! Congratulations and Best Wishes Katy and Mike!!!!
