Remembering the Brave: Legacies of Valor

If I could make a living photographing only non-profit events, I would.  It is an indescribable feeling to be able to help others just by doing what I love!  I feel very lucky to have been able to volunteer for Remembering the Brave for a few years now.  However, this event was unlike any of...

2011 Miracle on 19th Street

“The Miracle began on December 25, 1996 when the Denver ChopHouse staff, driven to brighten the holiday for the area’s hungry and homeless population, served a Christmas feast complete with all of the trimmings to 250 homeless men, women and children in the community.

What began as a small gesture of kindness has now spread across the United States. This year alone, more than 6,100 children and their families in Boise, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Denver, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, and Portland will receive an outpouring of goodwill through our Miracle events.”

CraftWorks Foundation Thanksgiving

My wife Kiha found this amazing program back in 2007 and we have been volunteering each Christmas and Thanksgiving Day ever since.  CraftWorks owns over 200 restaurants across the country, and on Christmas and Thanksgiving, they close the doors to the public to many of them and re-open them to the needy in the community. ...
