The Global Down Syndrome Foundation hosted another successful ‘Be Beautiful Be Yourself‘ gala that raised 2 million dollars! The stars of the show are without a doubt the children self-advocates with Down syndrome who get to walk the runway, but they are accompanied by some very recognizable faces. Actors Jaime Foxx, Minka Kelly, Terrence Howard, Beau Bridges, John C. McGinley and Jaime Brewer were just some of the folks on hand to lend their talent, fame and publicity to help bring awareness and support for Down Syndrome.
The gala is the single largest annual fundraising event for Down syndrome, the least-funded genetic condition by our National Institutes of Health. Here are a few wonderful faces that escorted the self-advocates on the runway… Former NFL Denver Bronco Chris Kuper, Current Denver Bronco Brandon McManus, model Amanda Booth, Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson, former MLB Colorado Rockies Carlos Eduardo González , NBA Denver Nuggets Kenneth Faried:
It’s so heartwarming, uplifting and inspiring to watch these talented and amazing self-advocates walk the runway with supermodel Beverly Johnson, and actors John C. McGinley, Terrence Howard and Minka Kelly:
I look forward to this event each year!!
