The 2014 Tim Tebow Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament was another successful fundraiser for a great cause! Just like last years event, over 1 MILLION DOLLARS was raised for the Tebow Foundation (made up of five different outreach branches that all benefit children, including building hospitals, granting wishes, helping orphans…and a lot more!).
The weekend began with a red carpet entrance into the auction dinner gala at the gorgeous clubhouse at the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida:
There were a large number of celebrities from a variety of genre’s. Shown below are NFL legend Emmitt Smith, NASCAR king Richard Petty, and Duck Dynasty stars, Jase Robertson, Justin Martin, Jep Robertson, Missy Robertson and Jessica Robertson, and of course Tim Tebow:
During the dinner and auction portion of the evening there were a number of incredible entertainers. Comedian Rob Schneider was especially hilarious, and in the picture on the right was interacting with one of the Tim Tebow costumes from the ‘no contract’ Super Bowl ads:
Musicians John Rich and Chris Tomlin were incredible!
It really is neat to see how many folks from all walks of life lend themselves to support Tim Tebow’s causes. Here are some of the celebrity attendees: fashion model Kim Alexis, musician Jerry Cantrell, singer Kristy Lee Cook, former NBA player Artis Gilmore, host of NFL Redzone Scott Hanson, PGA golfers Billy Horschel, Bubba Watson and Chris Dimarco, NFL stars Emmitt Smith, Anthony Munoz, David Nelson and Leon Washington, Florida Gators coach Urban Meyer, former Gator Danny Wuerffel, former MLB player Gary Sheffield, UFC fighter Brendan Schaub, Duck Dynasty’s Jep and Jace Robertson and Justin Martin, actors Alfonso Ribeiro, Katheryn Winnick, Derek and Sophia Luke, and FOX news anchor Ainsley Earhardt
Here are a few images from around the golf course… NFL wide receiver David Nelson celebrating the nice shot by NBA legend Artis Gilmore, NFL Redzone’s Scott Hanson goofing around with country singer Kristy Lee Cook, PGA Golfer Bubba Watson saying goodbye with a wave as he buzzed the head of Tim Tebow in his helicopter and a few of the fans on the 18th green:
Winner of Gordon Ramsay’s show MasterChef, Whitney Miller, giving her best shot at a ‘naughty’ face… The naughty or nice sign referred to the two snack options she had made for folks to sample:
It was a fun moment when Jase Robertson pulled a duck call out of his golf cart and as soon as he made the call, the duck took flight from the water and flew right over his head! Quite the product endorsement!
It doesn’t get old seeing the effect Tim Tebow has on others. And it’s truly touching how far out of the way he goes to bring a smile to a child, especially those battling illness. The best example I caught on camera (because I have to catch it, he doesn’t pose for them or do it for the camera) is the images below. The smile on the face of Jackie Elizabeth is priceless, and in her words “Best Day EVER”:
