A group of international folks held a meeting in Denver and hired the Workshop and Eclectic Hive to help throw a party that would show off a bit of Colorado! As the guests arrived to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, they were met by characters in old west costumes (some even on stilts!) and were treated to games, cocktails, country dance lessons, a BBQ and a ton of fun!

That in itself would have been a great Old West Colorado Party…but the best was yet to come… There was a private rodeo just for the group!

It was the real deal, with cowboys, clowns, bulls, mud and blood! It was awesome!

It was my first time photographing a rodeo. They move so much quicker than I expected! I was thrilled when I captured the hat falling off in mid-air… It took many many mess-ups before I got one picture! I sure hope I get an opportunity like this again!
