I had two private jobs during this year’s CPAC convention, but when I wasn’t taking those pictures I was able to photograph a few of the official CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) images in Washington, D.C. It offers the opportunity for some very interesting people watching, and hopefully also gives me the opportunity to capture images of the next Republican nominee for President. Here are two of the hopefuls, United States Senator Rand Paul and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie:

If you have never played political bingo you are missing out… The winning bingo square during a presidential debate I was watching was ‘Ronald Reagan‘ so I still smile as soon as I hear it for the first time at a political event. In this case, I didn’t even enter the ballroom before seeing a reference. However, the first thing I DID see upon entering the ballroom was just as memorable.. (Senator Mitch McConnell was giving it to someone as a gift)

It is definitely a neat moment to see the popularity of the image I captured of Sarah Palin riding a horse at Ronald Reagan’s Ranch. For the second year in a row, posters were available, and an image of the poster being handed out was published in the Wall Street Journal!
